Great Central Railway Winter Steam Gala 2013

Welcome. Here we are showing our view of the Great Central Railways' Winter Steam Gala. The film was shot on Sunday 27th January 2013, initially in bright sunshine but the day was quite windy and soon descended into continuous rain.

We start with the star of the weekend, the GWR King class 6023 King Edward II resplendent in blue. We then move on to LMS class 3F 47406 hauling an empty coal train. Next we have the GNR N2 class tank No. 1744 with a 'local' passenger train. BR Standard class 2 No. 78019 passes next with the maroon passenger set closely followed by LMS 8F No. 48624 running light engine. Next we see GWR 2-8-0 No. 3803 with the green passenger set. DMU class 101 then passes followed by the very slow running SR King Arthur class No. 777 Sir Lamiel. Ivatt class 2 No. 46521 passes with BR standard class 2 No. 78019 traveling in the opposite direction, and finally with round off the filming in heavy rain with the return of the King.
