VvvvV - 5V Bracelet - 10 Pin Flat Fishtail - Advanced Rainbow Loom Tutorial

Originally Designed by by Debra Timah

After seeing Debra Timah's photo on facebook, I was instantly inspired and thankful that such an awesome design had been creating using bands that were knotted. It is a new technique which I can picture being incorporated into hundreds of existing design which will further the amount of designs we are capable of making.

We decided to record a tutorial with Debra's approval and we tried as best as we could to perfect the beginning and end of the bracelet. Tip: Rounded or most limited edition bands bring out the most appealing versions of this bracelet.

This 5 row flat fishtail was named the 5V bracelet because you could see 5 V's along each row. This bracelet uses 10 pins and can only be made on the Rainbow Loom.

To calculate how many steps you need to take for this bracelet, measure your wrist in inches and multiply this amount by 9. This is the number of steps/sequences you will need to take(each sequence is 4 bands). ie. 6 inches multiplied by 9 is 36 steps. You will need 144 bands just for the bracelet part and probably another 15-20 bands for the beginning and end.

Fair Warning: This bracelet takes about 2 hours to make.
