Dongying, China: Growing Forests in Saline Soil
From 2011 to 2016, with support from the World Bank-supported Shandong Ecological Afforestation Project, trees and shrubs were planted on 13,800 hectares of saline land in Dongying, China. Forest cover increased by 1.7%.
