How to uninstall VirtualBox on Ubuntu

Before uninstalling VirtualBox, ensure that you’ve backed up any important virtual machines. This will allow you to restore them later if needed.

Open VirtualBox.
Select the VM you want to backup.
Right-click on it and choose ‘Export Appliance’.
Follow the on-screen instructions to save the VM.

1. sudo apt-get purge virtualbox* – Removes VirtualBox and its related packages.
2. sudo apt-get autoremove – Removes any unnecessary packages.
3. rm -r ~/.config/VirtualBox/ – Deletes VirtualBox user data.
