Method 1. Use Disk Management To Format
First, right click this Windows icon and select Disk Management. Right click on the drive that you want to format and just tap format. Here is the drop down menu to set the right file format, make sure to check the Quick Format option. Then hit the okay button in order to complete the process.

Method 2. Use Command Prompt To Format
Disk Part utility is launched through command line, and giving you access to certain set of commands, which can be very helpful when dealing with drive problem. So follow my steps. Press Windows and R key and type disk part in the Run Explorer. Hit enter. In the prompt window, type list disk, press enter. Type select disk to select the particular disc that you want to format. Type list volume, press enter. Then type select and choose your removable device name. Finally, simply type format FS equals NTFS quick, press enter. This is going to format the hard drive using the NTFS file system. And you will be able to access it without any hindrance.

Method 3. Use 4DDiG Partition Manager
