Nihal Sarin vs Gharibyan Mamikon | Nail biting endgame | 2 pawns vs Rook | Serbia Open 2021
In the fourth round of the Serbia Open 2021, GM Nihal Sarin took on Armenian talent Mamikon Gharibyan (2464). The players reached an endgame where Nihal was forced to sacrifice his rook in order to stop the black pawn from queening. It was then a battle between Nihal's pawns and Gharibyan's rook! The endgame is as intense as it can get. Check it out and learn a lot of things about this endgame with the commentary by IM Sagar Shah.
