Zara Mahbub is considered as one of the most prominent female business leaders in Bangladesh with experiences of working in multiple fields starting from modeling business to fashion industry to technology to banking sector. In this talk, she made her candid confession how much courage, enormous passion and sacrifice it takes to make a mark as a successful person. Being an outspoken girl as a child, she realized how society stigmatized women for certain behaviors. But her biggest support system has been her family who always shielded her like Himalayas (at least that’s how she described it). Her definition of success doesn’t include having a good job or a decent salary; rather she depicts a new definition where making others successful is the real beauty of personal accomplishment. She is incredibly gorgeous, spontaneous and people love her for how she signifies the power of hardworking and living in the present instead of just repenting over small worldly things. Zara Mahbub is the Country Director & CEO at Kazi IT Center Ltd. She was the Senior Vice President, Head of Customer Experience at BRAC Bank. She has been working for the past eighteen years in various industries, including ready-made garments/textiles in Bangladesh, and IT and Software Manufacturing in the U.S. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
