The Outsiders Filming Locations Then and Now|Behind the Scenes|New Locations in Tulsa Found!

Well, well, beautiful Tulsa, Oklahoma, home of the greasers and the soc’s. Here in this video I visit a few of my favourite filming locations from the movie The Outsiders. What started out as just filming my three favourite locations quickly evolved into something more and I wound up visiting quite a few. Why? Because I just can’t leave well enough alone. The Outsiders house was a logical place to start and thereafter I go to some pretty obscure filming locations from the film. Oh and I give u some trivia and behind the scenes tidbits about the film. In other words, I talk A LOT. Shocker.

The Outsiders is a 1983 American coming-of-age drama film directed by Francis Ford Coppola, an adaptation of the 1967 novel of the same name by S. E. Hinton. The film was released on March 25, 1983. Jo Ellen Misakian, a librarian at Lone Star Elementary School in Fresno, California, and her students were responsible for inspiring Coppola to make the film. The film was shot on location in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
