The MAD Museum, Stratford Upon Avon

We visited Stratford-Upon-Avon, and our first stop was the MAD museum. The MAD Museum, which stands for Mechanical Art and Design, is a unique museum located in Stratford-upon-Avon, England. It is the only specialist attraction of its kind in the UK.

As the name suggests, the MAD Museum showcases a collection of kinetic art, automata, and robotics from around the world. These exhibits are not just for looking at; they are designed to be interacted with, making the museum a fun and engaging experience for visitors of all ages.

The museum features over 60 exhibits, including:

o Rolling ball machines
o Automata (moving machines)
o Robots
o Witty design pieces
o Mind-blowing intricate moving contraptions

The MAD Museum is a great place to learn about the history and mechanics of automata, as well as to see some truly creative and innovative machines. It is also a great place for kids to let loose and explore their inner inventor.

We enjoyed the museum, despite its small size, we were there for well over 90 minutes, spending time starting and watching each of the exhibits.
