Let's Craft: Hobbit House Miniature / Book Nook
Hi there, Happy New Year! :D
We're starting the creative journey off with one of the Christmas presents I made in 2020, a miniature book nook based on a Hobbit House from the Lord of the Rings series.
I wanted to make a book nook for so long, and I am super super satisfied with this one. I'm finally getting the hang of all those tiny details needed for miniatures, and I find myself thinking much more outside the box (pun intended), to create them.
And as much as I hate numbers, making a detailed sketch for this mini has helped me a lot. I love going freestyle and measuring by eye, but working based on the sketch, with all the numbers worked out beforehand, was pretty chill.
I already started planning the next mini with a detailed sketch, but whenever I can I avoid calculating stuff :P
After the flower mayhem that was the TXT mini, sticking on the plastic plants felt like meditation lol. I'm honestly really happy with this project and it was such a nice, calm way to end the year.
I hope to see you here again next week, until then, check out other vids or my instagram (official_luna_rogers) for behind the scenes info and lots of cat pics.
