Rick Rood hosts and sponsors an annual BBQ & car show/cruise-in. Initally, this cruise-in was held at his transmission shop property in Waterville, but as the space was no longer able to accommodate the large number of vehicles, Rick relocated it to the Waterville Recreational Centre. Rick has been sponsoring this vehicle drive in for many years, which is attended by many drivers and their vintage or special vehicles ranging from antique, classic, hot rods, rat rods, customized vehicles and current day unique car models. Local businesses generously donate articles, loot bags and prizes for participants. An event very much looked forward to by many car enthusiasts whether or not they own cars.
