Juicy Smoked Chicken with Homemade BBQ Sauce
Learn how to make incredibly juicy smoked and roasted chicken with a simple injection, perfect seasoning, and a quick homemade BBQ sauce that beats anything from the store!

BBQ Sauce:
1 32oz bottle of Ketchup
4 Garlic Cloves (or 1 Tbsp minced Garlic or Garlic Powder)
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
1/2 cup Worcestershire Sauce
4oz of Bourbon or 1/2 can of your favorite beer
1 Tbsp of BBQ Seasoning
2 tsp Cayenne Pepper
2 tsp Smoked Paprika
2 tsp Onion Powder
2 Tbsp Franks Red Hot
1/2 cup honey (we used locally sourced Habanero honey that my neighbor was nice enough to give to us)
1/3 bottle of apple cider adult beverage
Mix and taste as you go, make it to YOUR liking. Simmer for about an hour, stirring every once in a while.
Cook the whole chicken in the oven (spatchcock) on a rack over a pan for really crispy skin at 425 degrees F until internal temp reaches 160 F (resting will carry the temp over 165 F)
Grill spatchcock or rotisserie at 350 F until internal temp reaches 160 F (resting will carry the temp over 165 F)
