5 Of The Most Expensive Online Transactions!

Today you can buy pretty much anything online, even stuff that's illegal if you know where to look.

But there are certain things we still prefer to buy face to face, usually high ticket items as we feel more secure when dealing with a person than just a website.

In this list we'll be showing you 5 of the biggest online transactions ever recorded.

We would like to give a big shoutout to viewer Kohler Andrews for suggesting this video.

5) A Town – $2.5 Million

A man named Bobby Cave made a decent $1.7 million profit when he decided to buy & sell a town.

He purchased the entire town of Albert in Texas on eBay for just $216,000.

He invested a further $500,000 for some improvements then decided to put it back up for sale on eBay.

Amazingly someone else bought the town for a whopping $2.5 million, netting Mr.Cave a very healthy profit.
4) A Business Lunch – $2.6 Million

How much would you pay to have lunch with multi billionaire & current 3rd richest person alive, Warren Buffett?

Whatever number you have in mind, times that by a few thousand and you may be close to what someone actually paid for it.

An unidentified person bid & paid $2.6 million for the privileged to have lunch with Mr.Buffett.

Why?

Well firstly it was for charity, and charity auctions are not a place to pick up a bargain, but mainly because if you're a entrepreneur, having some private 1 on 1 time with someone like Warren Buffett could potentially change your life.

Maybe you could pitch him an idea, maybe he could invest in your company, or at very least you're going to get some great advice & a selfie everyone at the office will be jealous of.

Whatever the case what we do know is whoever the mystery bidder was, he or she clearly puts a lot of value on knowledge & potential opportunity.
3) A Painting – $25.9 Million

You can buy a lot of expensive items on Amazon, mainly because anyone can set up a sellers account and list products to sell on one of the largest market places in the world.

So if you're an artist and want to make a few easy million, why not put up a painting for $25.9 million and cross your fingers some insanely rich person decides to buy it.

That's exactly what someone did and according to some reports they actually sold their painting.

It's such a genius idea that I'm now tempted to buy a canvas and some paint, make a piece of art, list it on Amazon and enjoy an early retirement.
2) Gulfstream V jet - $40 Million

If you were going to buy a private jet, one would think it's a transaction that would be very formal and in person.

I'd imagine the company selling the jet would send out one of their private jets to pick up their client, treat them to all the luxuries known to man, sit them in a big luxury office with a full buffet of food and try and cater to their every need for them to buy a jet.

Especially when they are a well known billionaire & clearly have the means to actually buy.

However in reality, billionaire Mark Cuban sat on his computer and just clicked add to cart.

Back in 1999 Mr.Cuban purchased the Gulfstream V jet online for a cool $40 million.

It was the biggest single online transaction and was even listed in the Guinness Book of World Records.
1) Mulder Design yacht - $140 Million

Mark Cuban’s record was broken in 2005 when a Mulder Design yacht sold on eBay.

The 405 foot yacht is fitted out with a helipad, a cinema room, a gym, 10 luxury bedrooms and 8 guest cabins.

It is the ultimate billionaire accessory and it sold on eBay for $140 million.

It just goes to show that literally anything can be bought online, and that the future for brick & mortar retail stores doesn't look too bright.
