Located 1 km from Kanazawa Station, Omicho market has been Kanazawa’s largest fresh food market since the Edo Period.
This year, it will celebrate its 300th year anniversary.

Omicho market has 200 shops and stalls, mostly fishmongers that sell freshly caught seafood from the Sea of Japan.
But, there are also fruit and vegetables stalls that sell unique local products, meat shops, clothing store, groceries and restaurants.

I love going to this fresh market to buy various products directly from the local, and enjoy the fresh seafood. This time I will go grocery shopping in Omicho market.
