Welcome to our YouTube channel! In this video, we will guide you step-by-step on how to convert from copper piping to PEX piping, making your plumbing projects easier and more efficient.

🔧 Tools and Materials Needed:
- PEX tubing (appropriate size for your project)
- PEX fittings (elbows, tees, connectors, etc.)
- PEX crimping tool
- Pipe cutter
- Deburring tool
- Adjustable wrench
- Teflon tape or PTFE thread sealant
- PEX pipe supports (if necessary)

⚙️ Conversion Process:
1. Turn off the main water supply to your home or the specific area you'll be working on. This ensures no water is flowing through the pipes during the conversion.

2. Use a pipe cutter to cut the copper pipe at the desired location. Ensure the cut is clean and even. Remove any burrs or rough edges using a deburring tool.

3. Measure the length of PEX tubing needed to replace the section of copper pipe you removed. Allow for a little extra length to ensure a proper fit.

4. Slide a PEX fitting, such as an elbow or tee, onto each end of the PEX tubing. Make sure the fittings are properly aligned with the intended direction of the pipe.

5. Insert the PEX fittings into the corresponding openings in the existing plumbing system. Ensure the fittings are pushed in all the way until they reach the shoulder of the fitting.

6. Use a PEX crimping tool to secure the fittings onto the PEX tubing. Position the crimping tool over the crimp ring and squeeze the handles firmly to create a secure connection. Repeat this process for each fitting.

7. If you are connecting the PEX tubing to a threaded connection, apply Teflon tape or PTFE thread sealant to the male threads before attaching the fitting.

8. Once all the connections are in place, turn on the main water supply and check for any leaks. If you notice any leaks, tighten the connections using an adjustable wrench.

9. For additional support, use PEX pipe supports to secure the PEX tubing to the wall or floor, especially in vertical or horizontal runs.

🔍 Tips and Safety Precautions:
- Always wear appropriate safety gear, such as gloves and safety glasses, when working with plumbing materials.
- Follow local plumbing codes and regulations for your area.
- If you're unsure about any step, consult a professional plumber for assistance.

That's it! By following these steps, you can successfully convert from copper piping to PEX piping. Don't forget to like this video, subscribe to our channel for more helpful plumbing tutorials, and leave any questions or comments below. Happy plumbing!
