The GameBoy Zelda games are awesome, and really really weird. And it's because they were willing to give up on hardcore professionalism, perhaps, that Zelda is what it is today.

Link's Awakening is tightly designed and almost inscrutable when it comes to gameplay on the GBC. Oracle of Ages and Seasons are a little looser, but still great - see why ON THIS EPISODE OF E̶X̶I̶S̶T̶E̶N̶T̶I̶A̶L̶ ̶C̶R̶I̶S̶I̶S̶ KBash!
