Hotel Seri Malaysia Kangar is Too Old!

The hotel is not big, but it has complete facilities. The surrounding is nice- well you have a hill right behind the establishment and greenery too.

Finding the property is easy. The Google Map location is accurate. They have ample parking for all guests. The check in process was quite long but the receptionist was nice.

The property itself seems trapped in the 90’s. The design, landscaping, and the room interior felt old. I personally don’t know when’s the last time they refurbished the rooms.

Talking about the room I got, the first thing I experienced was the smell of the room- it surely didn’t smell fresh. The carpet was looking so worn. I believe they never deep clean it. The lighting was stressful. I know they want to create ambience but it’s too dark.

The curtain was old. I could tell just by looking at its texture, design and colour. Few hooks were not in place and they certainly made the room looked shabby. Not to mention the window frame - dustier than a desert. The mirrors were not wiped clean too.

Bathroom - The most boring toilet I ever experienced. The worst part was there were so many dried lizard drops in there (yes, in the soap placer too). I sprayed water all over the toilet floor to clean it and guess what, a mummified cockroach floated out from behind the toilet bowl.

In conclusion, this hotel can be great again if they seriously think about refurbishing, and increase their cleanliness.
