Munk Debate on Capitalism

The fall 2019 Munk Debate moves the motion: The capitalist system is broken. It’s time to try something different. Katrina vanden Heuvel, editorial director and publisher of The Nation, and Washington Post columnist, and Yanis Varoufakis, economist, author, and Greece's former finance minister, are arguing for the motion. Speaking against the motion are Arthur Brooks, Harvard professor and author, and David Brooks, political commentator, New York Times columnist, and author. Rudyard Griffiths moderates the debate from Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto.
