This time of year, we're in the middle of winter, many people be experiencing the "winter blues," especially ye pirates livin' up north.
Fortunately, there be many ways ta be preventin' an' curin' the winter blues.
What do I mean?
In the winter, the days get short and the sun angle gets low. You probably leave for work in the dark, and come home in the dark. This is a bad combination.
The typical symptoms of the winter blues are:
Overeating, craving sweets.
Being more irritable than normal.
Lack of energy, sleeping more but at the same time feel more tired.
What can ye be doin'?
The number one cure for the winter blues is, get more sun. Maybe go outside for lunch, or get in front of a south facing window and soak up the sun's rays, whatever it takes.
Do something to get the blood flowing. Be getting' ye mind outta the gutter. Increase your activity by walking and exercising. Embrace the winter season and if ye be livin' up north enjoy things like sledding and skiing.
Hangout with family and friends. The truth is, they're probably feeling the same as you. It be easy ta get isolated in the winter. Maybe do the coffee shop thing.
Think positively. Just like exercising your body, ye be needin' ta exercise your mind. It's up to you to think positively.
And of course, treat yourself with something special, like an island vacation. It's sure ta be a wonderful solution to the winter blues.
Share your cure for the winter blues in the comments.
I hope you enjoyed this pirate lifestyle TV video. Be sure ta be subscribin' so you won't be missing a thing.
Me goal be ta motivate and stimulate YE friends ta be livin' the pirate lifestyle!
