Medal of Honor: Retired Officer Donald Harris

In 1969, Officer Harris pursued a suspect who took a 14-year-old boy hostage at gun point and shot the suspect before any harm could come to the boy. The Denver Police Foundation hosted a luncheon on April 11, 2012 to commend Officer Harris and other officers who distinguished themselves by gallantry at the risk of their lives.
