I talk about why autistic people can shutdown in a number of social situations as well as situations involving conflict and trauma. I also touch upon autistic people's struggle to express their feelings, and the fact that many of us lack proper coping mechanisms to combat stress and anxiety. I also try not to ramble too much as I film this video off the cuff...will I be able to reach the end of the without making a 'Lord of the Rings' reference?
