1955 INDIANAPOLIS 500 RECAP FILM - Excellent quality racing film of historic May 30, 1955 race

29-year-old Bob Sweikert wins the 1955 Indy 500 driving a car built by Tulsa, OK industrialist Jack Zink. Actress Dinah Shore congratulates Sweikert in winners' circle.

During the race former Indy 500 winner Bill Vukovich was killed when his roadster flipped repeatedly in a 4 car wreck.

One year later, Bob Sweikert would be killed in a sprint car race.
