Piano Improv No. 3

Going to start a life long series creating improvisational piano pieces at a similar pace to which I write my usual music. The improvisations will consist of various styles, including variations on pieces I've learned from other composers, variations on themes I've written myself, variations of songs I wrote myself, random passions of the moment, and mostly pure nonsensical silliness. Exploration is what I aim to share here. No mistakes, only happy accidents. Expect one of these at least once every three months, hopefully more.

Piano Improv No. 3 was played at my parent's house just before I headed home after visiting my mother and my father. There was a lot going on in my life at that time, not the least of which was fear of losing my job and being stretched thin on finances. people weren't booking stays. it was a heat wave and short term rentals were down for some reason across the nations. i had to offer stays at 50% the normal rate--even 25%. In July, I let someone stay for a week for $235, $33/night. I earned $25/night from that. A mountain of stress looked over me, but it was of my own making. Still, I have to arms of my parents to fall into, when I really get in too deep. I must learn to avoid trouble, because one day no one will be there to catch me when i fall. it's important to appreciate when your parents catch you. and it's important to appreciate just how much it hurts them to see you fall. you have to stop falling, for their sake.
