On The Newshour Agenda with Padmaja Joshi, we will discuss the unprecedented violence that occurred in Bengaluru after Congress MLA Akhanda Srinivas Murthy's nephew Naveen criticised Prophet Muhammed on a social media post.

Times Now even broke the story that the entire mob violence was planned and executed as a part of well thought of conspiracy, but there have been apologists over the last 48 hours who sought to rationalise this mob violence as an unprompted reaction to a social media post stating that this was a cry for justice and wanted the police to act.

Padmaja Joshi gets explosive evidence which shows that this was not an angry outburst of people who are only demanding the arrest of Naveen, their aim was much more threatening.

A Muslim leader from Meerut in Uttar Pradesh even announces a bounty of Rs 51 lakh on the head of Naveen, the nephew of Karnataka Congress MLA R Akhanda Srinivasmurthy for his Facebook post which insulted Prophet Muhammed.

'Those people who have posted these messages (on social media) must be arrested. People who are raising slogans to behead anybody must be punished & arrested.' says, SDPI National Secretary Dr TA Rehmani.

'If there is a post or a statement made by any person against the religious sentiments of anybody, then there is a way of addressing it in the constitutional system. The moment this incident was reported to the police station, FIR was filed against the person who made the post. says,' BJP MP Tejasvi Surya.
