The walima is performed after the nikah (Arabic: نكاح‎) or marriage ceremony. ... It designates a feast in Arabic. Walima is used as a symbol to show domestic happiness in the household post-marriage.
here in Desert this even celebrate different way, in cities relatives are invited on fix time like lunch or dinner but in desert peoples are living in scattered areas and traveling is tough ,so they invite them in lunch and this lunch continue 12pm to 16:00pm. peoples come for lunch any time and this continue upto evening.
