7 Insanely Brutal Yet Enigmatic Monsters of Lovecraft Country - Explored In Detail

Lovecraft Country was a unique horror series and stirred up the interest of Lovecraft fans with familiar references. The plot has little to do with his works and is based on Matt Ruff’s novel in 2016. However, the narrative is premised in a world that is full of the notorious Lovecraftian monsters. The protagonist, Atticus Freeman, is a black man who embarks on a grand adventure along with his friend Leticia and Uncle George. His journey takes him through some dreadful Lovecraftian monsters, Jim Crow era laws, and several other hindrances. Their mission is to stop the evil Christina Braithwaite from becoming immortal and fulfill her sinister plans.

As we said, the story has little to do with Lovecraft, but you will notice a mild inspiration from some of his famous works and some rare ones.. Unfortunately, the show got canceled from a want of viewers, and showrunner Misha Green suggested that it could have continued with more viewers. The second season was supposed to be called Lovecraft Country: Supremacy, and with all the Emmy nominations, it is a shame that the show could not continue.
