Yes, I flew to Detroit JUST to catch Miguel Cabrera's 500th home run

Was that dumb? Maybe. But it was cool being there and running around with my GoPro and seeing so many fans get HYPED. Miguel Cabrera had two hits and four RBIs, but it wasn't enough as the Tigers blew an eight-run lead to the Los Angeles Angels. Crazy stuff! And yes, Shohei Ohtani was responsible for some of the scoring.

One of the highlights for me was catching up with some old friends including a future MLB pitcher named David Lally. Follow him on Instagram (@david.lally5) and remember his name. Another highlight was seeing how fan-friendly the players on both teams were being despite the protective netting (which wasn't protecting ANYthing before the game). Angels pitcher Mike Mayers signed a bunch of autographs, and Tigers outfielder Robbie Grossman hooked up a couple of kids with a photo and a baseball. Every stadium should have retractable netting so that fans and players can easily interact before game. This drives me crazy!
