Yamaha MDF1 / very unsexy, but such a useful tool back in the day

A necessary tool back in the day. A storage device that could hold all my sequences, patches and other sysex data. Going out to a gig I relied on the Yamaha MDF1 to load back my sequences from my Alesis MMT-8. The latter did not have a build in floppy drive, as was the case with most sequencers at the lower end of the price range, hence the need for external storage devices.
After selling my MDF1 (or was it trashed? I can't remember...) in the early 90s, I've been looking for one again. To expand my collection of Yamaha sequencer stuff from that time. I don't NEED this today, but it's fun to look back and realize that the muscle memory (to use it) is still there after 35 years. Barely.
A big thanks to Chris from CPmagnetic media for sending me this one with one of his Quick Disk emulators installed.
