2nd of september I was walking with my jazz&swing loving parents on the Damstreet in Amsterdam. And then we saw these lovely guys, sitting with their instruments. Just looking like a noiseband with no pretention at all. Then! When they started to play...... they made the best Swing we'd ever heard! The whole street got stuck with people. No car, no taxi, no bike could pass.

(translated from MySpace) The formation of Swing de Barrio was born in early September 2008 in Granda, consists of four individuals were known as, the Chapi, the John, the David and Charly.
Subsequently, the Toni joined the project thus forming the quintet, playing jazz standerds, topics of valcanes (Klezmer, Gipsy ....) and classic master Django Reinhardt. Always with a small
aportacion own character in the interpretation.
