The A-10 Thunderbolt II — one of the most iconic combat aircraft ever built — will stay in service until at least 2030, according to the U.S. Air Force.
Originally scheduled for retirement in 2029, two squadrons will remain combat-ready as the Pentagon preserves airpower while new aircraft production ramps up.
