Figuring out "what's next"...

Life was SO hard after Dave died. So hard. And it caused me to take a big break from some parts of my life for a time because they were actually draining my soul, my heart, and my connection with God. I felt like I had no connection with anything. And it was a tough space to be in.

But…after I was coming out of this break, trying to figure out the “what’s next?”, someone asked me this question:

Hey, really do an inventory and ask yourself, “Are the things you’re doing, and what you’re building, building the kingdom of God, or are you building the kingdom of Heidi?”

Mic. Drop.

Because I know it’s a fine line between the two, and that line can get super blurry. But I know that when I feel the most full, it’s me figuring out what serves Him the best, because when I’m serving Him, or using my gifts for good to elevate him, it elevates everything. And I mean everything.
