This beautiful TEXEL sheep is waiting her turn to meet the Shearers!

The blue tag in her ear officially indicates that she is a pure bred TEXEL sheep.

Texels originate from the island of Texel in the Netherlands.

They are a muscular medium sized sheep with a white face and no wool on the head or legs. They have a shortish face and black nose, which almost looks like it is a turned up nose!

Currently, the most expensive sheep to reportedly have been sold at auction was in August 2020 in Scotland where a Texel was sold for $490,000!!
