That $500 Volvo, Restoration project, detailed process. Introduction - VOTD
1999 Volvo V70 AWD restoration project car. Purchased for $500 and will restore it to a good, maintained condition and delivered to the owner. I estimate that the project will cost around $1,900, which includes the purchase price. At that point the vehicle should be able to be driven for 50,000 miles with just routine maintenance. It currently has 200,400 miles and after restoration will have a NADA retail value of $3,475. In my opinion, the good service condition will outweigh the minor body blemishes.
