Puma jumping a fence

Torres del Paine in Chile has gained the reputation as one of the best places to see Pumas in the wild (also known as Mountain Lions or Cougars), the surrounding estancia (ranch) owners have recognised the value of protecting the big cats that roam from the national park onto their lands and now help protect them by taking away any domestic animals they kill and charge a fee to those that wish to view the Pumas on their land (offsetting the loses they have from killed stock). We had seen this Puma in the morning with her two 10 month old cubs, we went back to where we had last seen them later that afternoon. The cubs were out of sight while we watched her catch some rays, roll around and stretch. We waited to see if the cubs would come to her or if she would move. She did eventually get up to head off to look for dinner, leaving the cubs in their hiding place. She jumped one of the estancia's fences before she moved out of our sight.

Likes, comments & shares very much appreciated. We have lots more videos and photos to share from our March visit to Patagonia (we saw 15 different Pumas!) like our Facebook page if you'd like to see more https://www.facebook.com/WildlifeMadTravellers/
