We will cover everything from making the perfect aromatic Yakhni (Chicken Stock) to the exact water-to-rice ratio for fluffy Basmati rice. This one-pot meal is perfect for Sunday lunch, family dinners, or special occasions.
How to make aromatic Yakhni for Pulao.
Tips for fluffy, non-sticky Basmati rice.
Secret spices for that "Shadiyon Wala" (Wedding style) aroma.
Chicken Pulao banane ka sahi aur asan tarika.
[Ingredients / Samagri:]
Chicken: 500g (Bone-in for best flavor)
Basmati Rice: 2 Cups (Soaked for 30 mins)
Oil/Ghee: ½ Cup
Whole Spices: Bay leaf, Cumin, Cinnamon, Black Cardamom, Cloves.
Onions: 2 Medium (Sliced)
Ginger-Garlic Paste: 2 tbsp
Yogurt: ½ Cup
Green Chillies & Salt to taste
[Instructions]
Prepare the Yakhni with whole spices and chicken.
Fry onions until golden brown and sauté with ginger-garlic paste.
Mix chicken and yogurt, then add the prepared stock.
Add soaked rice and cook on high flame until water dries.
Put on "Dum" (slow steam) for 15 minutes.
