This is a haphazard recipe so amounts are estimates:

2 or 3 pieces of bacon, cut in squares
1 pound Brussels Sprouts, cleaned, dried and cut in half or smaller
1/2 cup or so of chopped pecans or walnuts
1/4 cup maple syrup, or to taste.

In a non-stick skillet place the cubed bacon and sprouts and cook over medium to medium high heat. Stir often, and as the bacon cooks, the fat will be rendered and it will nicely coat the sprouts. Cook for about 15 minutes until it's as soft and done as you like it. Make sure to turn the bacon often to brown and turn up heat slightly if you need to. Add nuts and toss until nuts are getting toasted, about 3 minutes. Add syrup and stir until everything is coated and syrup is a bit thickened. Enjoy!
