Truck Camping the Lost Coast of California | Beautiful Black Sand Beach

In todays video we explore one of Northern California's most beautiful black sand beaches. We explore in search of the perfect campsite near the coast. Wondering what makes the sandy shore black? The color of the sand is caused by natural minerals, which are rich in iron and heavier than regular grains of sand. Since the dark sand weighs more, it stays on the beach even when lighter grains are washed out to sea. Enjoy!
