c10 backfire problems/problem solved

i had problems with my c10 with back firing problems. changed different distributor caps, ignition module, it already had new wires ,the plugs were new. thought timing chain jumped for a second but ruled out that problem when i lifted the number 1 piston and the rotor was facing towards it .the way I set timing here on my 383 is nowhere near accurate but it will at least start if u do it this way. Turn the cap left and right and you'll hear where it likes it for the most part. So come to find out my cap was old and cracked and filed out my plugs so when I changed cap never thought to check plugs again so come to find out it was still acting up after I changed cap cause of plugs . Hope this video can help someone with c10s that have 305,350.400.and big block 454s.things to check for misfire or back fire. Distributor cap,rotor,ignition module ,spark plug wires and spark plugs and of cores making sure timings on point.
