Kenai Peninsula. Road to Homer, Alaska

To the south of Anchorage the landscape is instantly more dramatic than going north. All the way till the Seward Highway and beyond it is all one very accessible natural glory. Further down south is a fisherman's heaven -- but not so much a photographer's one, but that changes once you hit the Land's End sign at the end of the road on the Homer Spit by Kachamak Bay. It looked to me that part of Alaska has the richest history as there are still non-touristy settlements, open orthodox churches and cemeteries.
