Spanish Prime Minister backs former King Juan Carlos in exile
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez on Tuesday made a public gesture of support for Spain's royal family after former King Juan Carlos left the country for an unspecified destination amid a growing financial scandal.
Sanchez said that he respects the decision of the Royal Household to "distance themselves from the allegedly questionable and reprehensible behavior".
Sanchez added that a person, not an institution, was being judged and when asked as to the whereabouts of Juan Carlos, claimed to not have the information.
