I finally got my Forbidden Dreadnought dialed! DVO Custom Shock Tune made a huge difference! 3/27/23

Since I got my Forbidden Dreadnought I've been trying to get the bike dialed but it just never felt as good as my Yeti SB165. I've tried 3 different springs, I've also made tons of adjustments but the beginning stroke just always felt harsh. I knew it wasnt the shock because I have ridden the DVO Jade X on 3 other bikes and it always feels amazing. The beginning stroke is butter smooth and I have always felt planted. The Dreadnought was the opposite, the beginning stroke felt really harsh and many times my foot would slip off the pedal due to chatter on chunk. I only felt the Dreadnought come to life when I took a big jump or drop and got deep in its travel. I spoke to DVO and they wanted me to send it back in so Ronnie could do a custom tune on it. He adjusted the shim stack and changed the compression, he said the Dreadnought needed lighter compression and he did his magic. I knew Ronnie knows his shit but I wasnt expecting the bike to feel this much better. With in the first 30 seconds of riding through the fast chunky section the bike immediately felt so much better. It finally felt smooth just like every other bike I had with with the Jade X. I also felt the rear wheel go backwards much more than ever before. This kind of threw me off because it felt like I had a loose axle. I am sure I will get used to this and when I do I will be able to ride more aggressively. All in all I am so stoked on it. I have held on to my Yeti because I wasn't sure I was going to keep the Dreadnought. Now I think Im ready to let me Yeti go.
