Dynamic Precision: the new MVC function for vibration damping

During highly dynamic machining operations, visible shadows or waviness can appear on the workpiece surface. These imperfections are usually caused by low-frequency machine vibrations. Machine Vibration Control (MVC), a new addition to the Dynamic Precision package for HEIDENHAIN controls, damps these low-frequency vibrations so effectively that you can machine to the desired surface quality at high jerk values, meaning higher accelerations and therefore less time. MVC includes two combinable approaches: Active Vibration Damping (AVD) and a model-based vibration damping function known as Frequency Shaping Control (FSC).
