1 - Why Pray To The One You Refuse to Obey?

Call for prayer. With every "natural" disaster like floods, droughts, earthquakes, forest fires, hurricanes and tornadoes or manmade calamity like a school shooting, wars, disease epidemics like the H1N1 swine flu and terrorist attacks, the people turn to their god in public prayers. The claim that their god is the god of the bible, but they repeatedly disrespect this being. They removed His name Yahweh and refuse to keep His Laws. Why should He listen to a people who have not heeded His commands?
