My closest encounter with the great white shark was in the cage diving experience in Gansbaai, a few hours drive from Capetown in South Africa. It's one of those bucket list in a gap year world trip one must simply not miss. I was inside a cage with a group and when the great white sharks started approaching, we submerged to the water and started rolling my video, and the shark was banging against the cage with so much force. It's quite scary being in the ocean and up close and personal with the jaws!
