There is an African proverb, "Do not try to kill a lion if you aren't one yourself." However, as strong and undefeatable these kings of the jungle may seem, these wild cats can also be bullied and become an intended prey of some animals. Hard to believe, but it is true. Many people become surprised knowing that a giraffe can easily kill a lion. Being the world's tallest mammals, giraffes have legs that are taller than human beings and extremely long necks. Giraffes weigh four times as much as a lion and can easily kick the lion's body damaging its organs and killing it at the spot. Giraffe kicks not just with its legs, but it uses its neck too for kicking and thus killing the poor lion.

Surprisingly, buffalos are considered to be more dangerous than lions. A buffalo can easily kill a lion and can even defend itself from the pride of lions. There have been plenty of situations where an entire lion pride is seen to attack a single male buffalo, and still, they were not able to defeat the animal or kill it.

Number 3 Crocodile

Having the strongest bite in the whole of the animal kingdom is the crocodile. Often it is seen that when a lion is close to the water bodies or is drinking water at the edge of the water, crocodiles attack the lion. They drag the lion into the water, where the crocodiles usually live, spin the lion and drown them. In this fight, as soon as the crocodile bites the lion, the lion is severely injured and sometimes also immediately die.
The crocodile’s teeth are sharp enough to tear apart the lion’s skin and flesh.

A hippopotamus can easily kill a lion. The hippopotamus is mighty powerful, and it is built like a tank. The sharp and giant teeth of the hippo can bite and crush the lion into pieces in no time. Luckily, lions are faster than hippos so often they do manage to run away and avoid the fights with the hippopotamus.

Tiger and Lion are similar in many ways. Their skeletons are very similar. However, tigers are more agile and strong. Unlike lions, tigers also win against their fight with the buffalos. The striped cat weighs more than the lions. Although they are more or less same in size, Tiger's muscular density is more than that of the lions making it stronger than lions.
Tigers tend to avoid fights, but when it decides to fight, it fights to kill. Tigers have more capability of fighting using their muscular hind legs to claw the lions with their front paws. Lions, in turn, are incapable of fighting with their front paws. Felines' fight involves paw swipes which decide the victor.
