There are certain historical realities that commie dictators would rather not bring up. This one in particular is about King Shaka Zulu and the millions who lost their lives at his hand. The South African government will criticise Jan Van Riebeeck and other historical pioneers of being colonisers and doing many "bad things", but conveniently overlook actual atrocities due to them fitting in well with the optics and narrative they are going for.
