Hugo Boss eyewear glasses

Leaving the lab today, we have my clients own, mens Hugo Boss designer glasses frame. My client purchased these for me to glaze our premium lenses into.

This frame was picked as its much more stylish and modern than their current pair. The current pair of glasses made my client feel uncomfortable and self conscious.

My clients prescription isn't particularly high, however there was room for improvement regarding the lens thickness and the weight of the lenses, with this in mind, I decided to use a high index lens (1.6 index) this material is thinner and lighter than the industry standard thickness (1.5 index). I decided to do this based on the fact that my client wanted to feel comfortable and confident in public, a nice thin lens, with great coatings and optics has created a great look.

Even though the lenses have been made thinner, I still manually adjusted the bevel on the lens when I was cutting the lenses on my equipment, this adjustment changes what ratio or measurements the lens will sit in the rim of the frame. I went for about a 45% bevel placement, which means the the front portion is less than the rear, meaning the whole lens edge was hidden within the rim of the frame.

The coatings and treatments included a high quality anti glare which is great for driving at night and for use in and around artificial light sources and digital devices and displays. This helps reduce reflections and gives a crisper clearer image. The lenses also have a scratch resistant coating and are also UV400 protected, meaning your eyes will be protected from the suns UV rays.

Overall a great order, my client is over the moon with the outcome. When I phoned him during our aftercare call, he told me how much more confident he feels wearing his new glasses in public, knowing how great they look. My client also noticing the difference in our quality thinner lenses compared to his previous glasses.
