100 Years of Ravi Shankar: A Tribute By Rishab Rikhiram Sharma

Namaskar to my dear viewers,

I am sharing herewith, my heartfelt tribute to my guide and mentor - my dear Guruji, Bharat Ratna Pandit Ravi Shankar Ji who taught me not only the rhythm of music but also a lot about the nuances of life. I still reminisce about his esteemed Monterey Pop performance from 1967 and watch it every now and then on youtube and I was so delighted when he bestowed upon me with his invaluable knowledge of various melodious Raga ‘Pancham Se Gara’ being my very first. He honed me early in age to perform on stage as his disciple in front of him and the respectful and most appreciative audience in 2012.

I feel extremely thankful, privileged and honored to have had the opportunity to learn from one of the finest human beings and musicians the world has ever seen.
