Day 12- Yin Yoga To Connect Within | Yoga Nidra | On Being Whole

It’s Day 12 of the 21 Day Yin Yoga To Connect Within! By now, you might be feeling some shift in your practice and/or day to day life, perhaps more in touch with your feelings and thoughts.

Whatever it is, go easy on yourself. Take breaks in the day when you need to. Stretch and move your body, it’s a great way to reset your nervous system and keep your Qi flowing.

Today’s lesson is on being whole. What does that mean to you?

For many years, I suffered from anxiety and depression. In my healing journey, I’ve learned an important lesson…

‘Where I am is not who I am.’

Often we identify with the situations we are in, and we are not that. We are spiritual beings having intense human experiences. In Taoism, before our souls descend to the yin and yang world, we are already whole. This means we possess all of the virtues including love, compassion, and patience.

Therefore, today I’m offering a yoga nidra (yogic sleep) class. This is a deep relaxation technique that helps us soften the body and tap into our intuition. Repeat this mantra softly ‘I am creative, I am whole.’

🔸 Always respect your physical edge, this means do not lean too far into the pose where you might injure yourself.
🔸 Also respect your emotional edge, this refers to giving yourself permission to lean away or come out of the posture if you find it triggering you emotionally.
🔸 Come out of the practice gently. This could be having a cup of tea or quietly journaling.
