Melake Abraham
Shingrwa is a singing/dancing talent hunting show produced by Eri-TV. It first aired in 2007 and the show has been running ever since. The first season was shot mainly in the studio of Eri-TV in Asmara and the show finale took place at the "Cinema Roma".
As the show evolved in the following seasons, the judges started touring around the different regions of Eritrea in search of talent. This has helped the show to become more inclusive and has led the judges to find talent from the different ethnic groups of the country.
The term "Shingrwa" is in Hidard one of the Nine Ethnic languages in Eritrea and its translation in the English language is- Star
